You can try any data recovery software or pay a data recovery company to do it for you.
Recommended DIY software:
- RECUVA
- GETDATABACK
- ZERO ASSUMPTION RECOVERY
Worth a try.
And remember: "You don't lose what you back up". A storage device is just storage, not backup.

Hi,
I bought an iomega storage device that worked perfectly for the first couple of months but I now have a problem. My computer recognises that a device is connected but it doesn't show in 'My Computer' so therefore I can't retrieve or save any data to it. I popped to the local PC shop who sold me the device and they have advised me that the file partition is corrupt and that I need to reformat it which will sort the problem but this will clear all of the date that I currently have stored. He suggested buying more software to retrieve my data which seems to defeat the object of having a storage device ?
Does anybody have any ideas of how I can retrieve the data before I reformat the device ?
Many thanks
Ian
