How do I restore the customized icons to IE 6.0's Favorites?

Apr 23, 2005 5:09AM PDT

Hi,

Is there a way to restore those customized icons for browser Favorites the M$ keeps reverting to their own IE icon?

I am running IE 6.0.2900 with WinXP Pro with all the security updates. Also NAV, AdAware SE Personal, and Spybot S&D, all with the latest updates.

TIA

This is not a fully implemented feature in IE 6 or prior.

FAVICONS is a demo feature that might be properly implemented in a future IE. Why do I write that? The icon for the display is in the TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES. When such is cleared, the FAVICON is deleted.

Look up FAVORG on google.com for a solution, but I strongly suggest you just use FIREFOX.

When you have a favicon you like, save it into a folder you create somewhere on your computer. You find them in your temporary internet files. Just right click your favorite, and then hit the change icon button. Select your favicon for that website and it will always be there. ( I'm not sold on Firefox, I still like IE better)
