How do I resize the start menu in windows 7?

by TheKamikazeSuicidePlane / January 1, 2010 10:40 AM PST

My mother wanted to use my computer and she can't operate a computer correctly to save her life. She must have been looking for something and now she has stretched my start menu all the way to the top of the screen somehow and it looks very ugly.

Resizing the Taskbar...
by John.Wilkinson / January 2, 2010 2:38 AM PST

Right-click the taskbar and make sure the Lock Taskbar option is unchecked, then click-and-drag the edge of the taskbar to resize it. Then just right-click the taskbar and check the Lock Taskbar option to prevent future mishaps.

Hope this helps,

Large Start Menu
by kedscnet / January 2, 2010 10:05 AM PST

Right click the Orb, select the Start Menu tab and then click on Customize. Near the bottom of the Customize Menu is a selection titled "Use Large Icons". It probably has a check mark. Remove the check mark and all should be well.
