how do I reset the xp dialogues?

by jmacbeth / October 31, 2004 8:31 AM PST

I checked a "do not show this dialog again" button, when the system asked if I wanted it to automatically fix video settings. Ever since then my video driver doesn't work and I can't figure out how to reset the dialog. I know I've read something about resetting the dialogs but I can't find it.

What video settings were you trying to set, and how did you get the dialog in the first place ? Try going to Control Panel for your video/settings icon. Try right clicking and make your settings again. Also look at the system tray next to the clock - try right clicking an icon related to video......

Also try System Restore if that is feasible.

I actually solved the video problem by using the Gateway restore CD...... (it's interesting that downloading the video driver from Gateway's site actually made it worse, but the CD fixed the issue)

However, I'm still looking to know about resetting the XP dialogs after you click "don't show me this anymore" I know I've read something on this recently, but can't find it with a web search.
