Before deciding to remove a partition, ask yourself why it's there? On most recently issued/sold computers, the D drive is created to hold a "backup" image of your operating system in case you mess up the one on your C drive. Thus, the D drive is protection against your own (or the "computer's") mistakes.
If you are still determined to remove that partition, hunt around (using Google, Bing or Cnet Downloads) to find free partitioning software that will allow you to remove it.
Just remember, once it's gone, so is everything that was stored within that partition.
My computer has a partion that I don't want in there. How do I remove the partition so that all 149 GB are on the "C" drive? OR is this not a good idea and if not, why not? Your help is greatly appreciated. I am a novice computer person.
