It appears you have to reset to factory conditions. Should be in the product manual.

hi thanks for your answer i have unticked synce facebooki for htc sense and removed it completely and this has solved the problem.

select filter option in contact setting then choose Facebook contacts > select Facebook contacts>delete

How To actually Remove Contacts from HTC WildFire

I was also having this same problem. Facebook was over-loading my phone with synced Contacts which were linked to my HTC WildFire. So, when I no longer wanted FaceBook to link my Contacts, I removed the Contacts by first going to phone settings>Accounts & Sync, then locate Facebook for HTC app, click remove account. This will remove/delete contacts from your HTC's phonebook.** PLEASE NOT: by following these directions not only will it delete the FB contacts from your HTC but, it will remove everything synced from FB and remove/delete the FB account.
