How do I remove chevrons (or carrots) and multiple address

by frednbevr / February 27, 2005 3:54 AM PST

in emails.

Dell Dimension 2400 desktop
Intel Pentium 2.19 GHz
512 RAM Windows XP Home SP1
80G drive Ad-Aware SE presonal
Spy Bot Search and Destroy 1.3
Zone Alarm(free version)
AVG 7.0 Anti Virus

What is the easiest way to remove those chevrones on the sides of messages. I am not sure if the best way to remove the many address at the top is to highlite and cut or if there is a better way. if I wished to fwd a message I would like to do so with it being as clean as possible. I know I could copy and paste the body into another create message but I was thinking there must be a way to do it so I could forward the existing message.
Thank you
Bev

edit the message in Word
by glb613 / February 27, 2005 4:20 AM PST

Paste it into Word, go to edit then replace. In the box that says find what put in the character and in the other box that says replace with, leave it blank. Click on replace all and they should disappear. Then copy and paste it into an e-mail. When I want to share something with others, I create a new e-mail.

Bev, type "Character Stripper" in your Google search and you will find several free programs to do the job.
Be sure and put the quotation marks in, otherwise you will get some interesting choices!
