when you try Uninstalling it through the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs?

Alternatively, use System Restore to take your system back to a date/time before you installed this Carbonite.
(Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System restore).

I calle the support line and after getting hung up on three times I finally got someone to help me. Here is what he did and it worked.

Went into Main drive (mine is CHappy and clicked on Carbonite file. Changed file names to whatever they were but changed last part to .old
restarted pc
went back to same files and deleted them ndividually. then folder.
went in to hard drive (mine C:), Documents and Settings, All Users, Carbonite. Deleted all files then folder.
Went into recycle bin and emptied it.
restart pc.
That was it. I am now Carbonite Free.
