Unfortunately, the only subkeys in SERVICES were; os_krnl;os_cfg;os_vdisk.
There was no evidence of os_fwpkcint & OSSS_Services!!
Please advise. Thanks for your effort. I am using Xp Professional
And os_kml is OSSS.
I'm unsure but did you need forum members to do this search for you?
Bob
I needed forum members; however, what about the other two keys you previously mentioned:OSSS_services and os_vdisk??Thanks for your follow through!!
I put os_vdisk into http://www.google.com and see it's related to OSSS as well.
Why not disable these if you want OSSS gone?
Bob
Whar about the 'os_cfg'; should that be related to 'my' OSSS:' problem??
It's part of OSSS.
Remember that the forums are not only to ask but to learn how to figure stuff out.

I downloaded "Highjackthis"; but I could not find the program to delete. Thanks for your effort!
I didn't know this until you revealed what app we needed to uninstall.
Bob
I went to their web site, OSSS Online Security. It is a Russian web site!
Sorry, may be I am being too restrictive in my outlook here, but I would never have considered using any security service from there.
Services. In XP go to Start > Run, type in services.msc and click OK. In the Services Console scroll down and look for any Services associated with this. Disable those services.

Download and install Starter (free). It will list all programs that start up and gives you the option to stop them, even delete the starter.
