Question

How do I recover .CHK files?

Oct 24, 2012 11:12AM PDT

Hello,

I had made a mistake and caused errors on my USB drive by removing it improperly. I ran a scan to try to fix the problem, but now I find a folder on the removable disk called FOUND.000, and inside are files called filexxxx.chk.

How do I recover these files? Anything will help.

I have a number of files...

I have about 400 files on my jump drive. I don't know what each file was before. I would have to change the extension on a single file, possibly hundreds of times, before I know what it was.

At the link below, there is a .chk recovery program named: FileCHK.. You might want to give it a try.

There are other free ones available online also.. Google "CHK recovery program".

Hope this helps.
