How do I put Eudora on Win 7??

by Momaloney / July 22, 2011 2:04 PM PDT

It will not put in mail boxes or address books. I have had this program for about 20 years and want to use it onWin 7. Worked ok on XP. I find Win 7 to be very confusing and instructions strange...thanks much.

http://www.eudora.com/download/ doesn't talk about Windows Vista and Windows 7. The latest version dates from 2006. So maybe it's just incompatible.

As Windows 7 comes without mail program, your remarks about Windows 7 are a little bit out-of-context, I think. But if Eudora doesn't work, the common alternatives for that OS are Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail. Both are free, so you can try and see which of the two you like most.

Eudora IS compatible with win 7...I asked...but it changes all the mailboxes to another place, only allows 2 addresses in emails,
plus other problems. There is a way to do it, but I have not found the right solution. It is annoying as this problem is keeping
me from using my favorite email program....have looked at the others you mentioned but am not happy with them.

Thank you for your comments and hopefully someone that has installed it can give me step by step directions which I can
follow. I know it can be done.
