How do I put back Yahoo emails deleted by Outlook??

Jul 19, 2005 7:55PM PDT

Hi,

I've been a bit stupid! I set up my outlook 2003 (running on Windows XP SP2) to download emails from my pop3 Yahoo email account. No problem. However I forgot to tell it to leave a copy on the server! Outlook downloaded around 200 emails no problem but erased them from Yahoo. I need access to some of these emails via Yahoo as I travel around a lot.

Is there a way to put them all back without emailing them from myself to myself as this will stop me sorting them by sender!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I may be wrong,

but I don't think there is a way.

Unless some of the emails are still in special folders on Yahoo, (eg copied or moved to other folders once received and read), once they are deleted from the server the only way to get them back is to resend them all.

You may be lucky if Yahoo have not overwritten their backup servers. Perhaps a call to them may help.

Yahoo! setup

Is pop.mail.yahoo.com for "Incoming" mail server and smpt.mail.yahoo.com for "Outgoing"? This is a free service in Hotmail and I don't have to setup anything in Hotmail. Is it true to Yahoo?
