By default Windows saves it to the clipboard, so after pressing Print Screen you need to open a program that supports images (anything from Paint to Microsoft Word will do) and paste the image there. Just be sure to do so before pressing Print Screen again or using Edit->Copy/ctrl + c or you'll need a third-party program to go back in the clipboard history.

not a big deal, but was curious. I have a Dell inspirion 530 that is a few months old, and I have never been able to use the "print screen" button on the keyboard. It would be handy at times, especially with an error message, to just print what the screen looks like. Is there an option somewhere i can go to or anything.
