YouTube take great pains to prevent their videos from being downloaded as they are Copyrighted by YouTube and belong to them.
The battle is always being fought though to circumvent their TOS, but we can't help with that. CNET's own Forum Policy prevents such discussion.
So, I have to lock this thread to preserve Forum Policy.

Are files downloaded from YouTube always saved as .flv files? Can they be saved in a format that will play on the Windows Media Player or the most popular players? Can they be converted? Yes, I have a PC, running Window 7.
