Question

How do i pair Wireless Studio Beats to Samsung TV

Jan 26, 2015 5:29PM PST

I'm not very smart when it comes to anything on the back of the t.v. I've been trying to figure out how to pair the Studio Wireless beats to our Samsung TV Model #UN60H6350AF
I have purchased a mini jack and have tried hooking it into the Audio out (square with small hole in the middle) I really have no idea what i'm doing. I need a book for dummies with pics to follow along. This is driving me crazy trying to get them to pair. I can get them to pair to everything but the T.V. For the laptop i had to buy a Bluetooth USB adapter. I thought i could paiar the TV in a simular way. I purchased a Miccus mini jack, and i have a red and white audio cable that i can plug the mini jack into. Just have no idea why its not working. I would really appreciate the help. Please ignore the username. I gave up trying anything sensible after a half hour.

You mean you bought something like http://www.miccus.com/Wireless-Music-Transmitter-p/bbmj-02.htm

That should work in any device that has a 3.5" headphone out, provided a headphone works also. How to pair it doesn't depend on that device (be it a TV or a walkman), and should be explained in the miccus user manual. It's no way a Samsung issue.

Did you check a normal headphone with a 3.5" jack? And did you manage to pair the Studio Beats with the transmitter when connected to any other audio out (like your laptop, mp3-player, HiFi amplifier)?

The volume control from the 3.5mm analog audio out jack on your TV is set by default to "variable", which means if the TV's volume is turned down or muted, there won't be any output unless you turn up the volume OR go into the TV's audio menu, set the audio output to "fixed" which means the output jack will send out a constant, strong signal regardless of the TV speaker's volume.

Hope this helps!

So many Samsungs used a fixed level output that it's great news they are offering a choice here.
