how do i open a torrent

I have been able to dowmnload end open music files i have downloaded through utorren . but i have tried to graduate to video and i keep failing to open video file .. i get pop up saying cannot open RAR files any help appreciated ty dc

RAR is a compression program (same as ZIP)

just make sure your anti-virus definitions are up to date before you open the RAR file
