Question

How do I make my printer wireless?

Sep 28, 2013 4:25PM PDT

I have an HP laser printer which is network ready but not wireless. Our house is one those "smart" homes with the modem and wireless router inside a closet. How can I make the printer "wireless" in this kind of set up where the wireless router is not accessible and I don't have a accessible ethernet jack where the printer. Thanks!

Did you ever find a good answer?
I'm just starting the research process but I would think that I could use some kind of fob to insert into the USB port of the printer that my wireless network could identify? I dunno.....

Loki.

Wireless Bridge

You can add wifi to any Ethernet device with a wireless bridge adapter. I use this one but this IOGEAR looks good too.

If you have an old wireless router around, you could load it with DD-WRT (if compatible with router) and create your own wireless bridge.
