Resolved Question

How do I increase maximum dedicated video memory?

May 3, 2015 3:23PM PDT

I recently found out how to open my BIOS and change the dedicated video memory. I need a good amount of memory for all the games I'm used to playing. But the thing is, in the BIOS, the maximum memory is 128 mb. Is there a way I can increase this to 256 mb or higher, without changing any hardware components?

Thanks!

Only if a later BIOS update allows it.

I suspect however the onboard video chip itself is limited to that as a max. Run a search for the video chip used and see if it ever ran more than 128MB.

That presumably is the maximum for the onboard video. The BIOS is the only way to change that. But if you have a separate video card, it's not applicable at all.

Delete redundant wares and compress the format into .zip

Odd idea there. Are you from Redmond?
