Not all "plug in camer"s work. And certainly given this much information, it's unlikely anyone will guess what the issue is.

You left out the machine/make/model and maybe the OS. If it bothers you that I didn't re-read your first post, that's OK, but the forum software doesn't make this easy so I ask YOU to post the details all in the post.

Here's a few thoughts.

1. Did the Samsung come with video transfer software? Hint: Use it.
2. Some machines need motherboard drivers to make USB/Firewire cards work. Noted many times at http://www.usbman.com Your post left out details that could find if such is needed.
3. Your camera may not be supported by Windows Movie Maker or other software. YOU need to sort that out.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
