How do I hook up my surround sound??

Aug 27, 2005 3:39PM PDT

I have a Panasonic SA-HT670 and I was wondering if it was possible to hook it up to my tv. I have one problem though I have no headphone jack. I also don't have any video out jacks. Is it possible to hook it up to my tv or is there something I can buy to make it work?

such as a satellite receiver, cable box, or even a stereo vcr all have rca style stereo outputs that can send the sound into your surround sound system. You then just use that device to pick and change your channels.

Video out jacks on your tv is a non-issue BUT do you have video in jacks on the set? Aye... there's the rub ! Some older vcrs can be used as an rf modulator because they don't pick up on copy guard encoding but any connection made from a dvd player to a tv via coax cable is gonna suck.

as to the question "or is there something I can buy to make it work?"... well a 50 inch hitachi plasma comes to mind but may be thats just the Guinness talking.

Even if you had an earphone jack you would not get surround sound from it.
What other equptment do you have?? DVD,VCR, etc.
The audio out from there would be the place to get your audio. John
