How do I get the Google Shortcut on my toolbar?

Aug 18, 2007 9:09AM PDT

I am running WinXP on a Dell computer with a very slow dial up connection. I sold some stuff on E-Bay and they made me download Mozilla Firefox before I could use E-bay--but afterwards I did not like the Firefox and wanted to get my desktop back the way I had it. Firefox took off all my personalized stuff including Google and IE. So I deleted Firefox and now I cannot get Google back! Isn't that strange? How do I do it? Thanks so much for your help--Pups

Firefox doesn't get rid of IE, it just changes the default internet browser to Firefox. Click Start, then click run and type iexplore.exe in the box and click ok. IE should then pop right up. Google is a website, not a program and you can get there from firefox or IE. All you do is type www.google.com in and it should come up. If you have any problems post again, and I can try to help. If not I'm sure someone else can.

I'm trying to get a shortcut on my toolbar--the G in a circle--when I say "make shortcut" it puts the G in a circle on there but when I click on it it says it doesn't know where it is. It should just take me to Google with one click--always used to. Like my other shortcuts to ask.com and mail.com. Help? Thanks so much--Pups
