How do I get rid of these leeches?

by Del / December 17, 2004 8:59 AM PST

What's happening is someone is using a domain redirection service to point at our domain. Somehow, they've managed to replace our Google Adsense ads with their own in addition to adding pop-ups to the page. I suspect these individuals are listing their domains on one of those top site referral directories or something. This is very irratating to see someone else making money off of your own website.

I tried Cpanel's hotlink function, but we have subdomains being added daily and it would become a major chore to keep adding the subs to the hotlink exclusion list. I also went through the process of performing domain traceroutes and the whole nine yards, and managed to send out a complaint to the one of the IP's (elite.to & warez.to) but haven't received a response from them. We fired off a mail to the domain regristrar of the other leech but investigations could take up to 15 days before any action would be taken.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to combat this?

What if you check the referrer?

Basically if a visitor comes to your Web site from the domain that is being used as the redirect, it will go to an error page with a link to your Web site that will open in a new browser window.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
