how do I get HDAShCut to run?

Aug 8, 2007 11:20PM PDT

In your class on speeding up XP, lesson #4 shows how to clean up your background programs. It said to leave HDAShCut alone. But it is not running on my computer. How do I get it to run? And what does it do? Thanks

High Definition Audio Property

This is known as the "High Definition Audio Property" program and it is part of the windows operating system. If you don't have high definition audio on your computer then I would not worry about it.

Are you sure you meant to ask this question here? You mention our class. Is this one of CNET's online courses? If so, they have there own forums where students can ask questions.

Will "High Definition Audio Property" improve the audio/music on my computer?

The lesson posting site said to ask questions in forums -- I guess the postings are for comments only.

I've not heard of High Definition Audio Property myself until I Googled the startup program you mentioned in your first post. My initial reaction would be that this is for some sort of HD output, perhaps to an HDTV. Possibly Windows Media Center would be able to connect to an HD TV, but I can't be sure about that.
