As we read from https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=how+to+dial+up+with+window+vista we discover that each internet provider differs. As such only that provider can answer.

When I click on the icon to log on to my dial-up internet provider, a box appears saying, "No Dial-up Network was found on this computer! Would you like to open the Windows Network Options dialog after application closes?" I thought that the problem was with my internet provider, but when I tried to install a free trial of another internet provider, it said that no dial-up network was found on my computer. At my college, when the IT help desk attempted to format my laptop to work on the college's new wireless network, which failed, they tried a bunch of processes to fix the problem. I remember that they unclicked a series of TCP/IP boxes. I do not really understand exactly what TCP/IP does, but I cannot help wondering if that action has anything to do with the problem. If it helps, my operating system is Windows Vista. Thank you for any guidance that you can provide.
