Question

How do I find and "open" downloaded internet explorer 8

Oct 3, 2013 11:51AM PDT

Hello. I inherited a Dell Inspiron 1200 laptop from a friend. Her ex-husband

had

uninstalled Internet Explorer prior to me getting the laptop so I downloaded it today but I can't open it. There is no icon on the desktop, it's not listed under the programs and when I do a search it comes up, but I still don't know how to open it.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I open it. I also have Windows XP.

Confused! Please help me.

from another browser? If so, open it's download folder and find it there. you can also use Windows search function to find all *.exe files.

Hello. I downloaded Internet Explorer when I was using Google Chrome. I tried looking in all of the Chrome files and folders and did not find anything. I'm stumped. Operating system is Windows XP, Dell Inspiron 1200.
