Question

How do I film this properly?

Jun 28, 2011 1:07PM PDT

Whenever I record my animation laser with my camcorder and upload it to youtube it looks all distorted

How do I get it where it doesn't flash at all. It is very clear and doesn't flash on the wall when it is not being filmed.

What happens is my animation laser traces it very quickly and the video camera is not filming it properly. It looks ok to the human eye but not on youtube.

Thank you

Actually, it looks ok when I view it from my camera. It also looks ok in windows media player. It loses the quality when I transfer over to youtube... I think.

Please help with this. Thanks.

Answer
Persistence of Vision.

Human vision has a persistence so you can scan an image with a laser and it may look fine. I don't own your camera but in the days of film we would reduce the aperture (less light) and lengthen the exposure time to compensate.
