I have a gut feeling either the instructions you received aren't correct, or, there may be something peculiar with the firmware preventing the unlock from happening. Personally, you would be better served in a carrier specific (movistar forum, or possibly someplace like Howardforums where more of the actual specifics are discussed based on that Moto's H/W or firmware.

I have just paid for and received the unlock code for my Motorola T191. The phone was purchased in Majorca and was on PAYG on Movistar. On receiving the code, I was told to insert a different current valid SIM card and then it would ask me to "insert unlock code". I have tried 3 different SIM cards from our family phones - but the only response from the Motorola, when switching on, is "insert Sim Card".
Can anyone advise. Regards. Jim
