Question

how do I display old Windows Mail messages effectively?

Dec 11, 2011 11:15PM PST

After switching to Windows Live Mail from Windows Mail, I have successfully imported all of my older messages to my Inbox and Sent Items of Windows Live Mail. But, I often need to search through older messages by name and also need to see which older messages had attachments and which didn't.
The problem I'm having is that in the Inbox, all of my older messages now have either a " or a < as a prefix and they don't list together when searching by name and also don't list with any new messages received with Windows Live Mail...so there are 3 groups of the same name that I have to look for. There is also no paperclip icon next to any of the older messages showing which had attachments.
The problem with Sent Items is that all of the older messages say that they were all sent to me. No true "sent to" info, so there's no way for me to search by name because they are all my name!
Any ideas?
