how do I delete recent text contacts in Samsung SGH-A767 pho

I'm not talking about address book entries, but like when you get a text and that number stays in recent contacts. How do you delete it from showing in recent contact? I can delete the text, but not the" recent contact" where the number shows as a recent contact
