Thanks for any help.

The simplest way is to use the Recovery Console. Next, move the drive as a slave in another system if you need a GUI method.

Thanks for the help. I tried system recovery console, but I got the same message as I do in windows; "access is denied." How do I bypass the security for windows XP on a NFTS file format?

I need to because a long time ago, while merging a partition, PQ8 left a folder called "contents of old drive," and in that folder are useless system files which windows doesn't use, yet never lets me delete.

I'm not looking to screw up my computer, these system files are from a partition that doesn't even exist anymore. I would like to know how I can bypass the security so I can delete them, and then I'll re-enable the security. Simple as that.

Thanks for any help.

Create a DOS formatted StartUp disk. Restart the PC into DOS mode. Navigate to the appropriate Disk/folder and use the DEL command.

Well I finally deleted those redundant system files. My computer works perfectly and every went smoothly. Thanks for the link.

Quick question. I had to use basic dos commands like del *.*, and rd them like 20 times. Was there an easier way? I mean, I tried deltree, but there wasn't that command and I tried to del /? but it was very limited. Did I miss something?

Oh well, I fixed my problem, thanks for the help.
