How do I delete photos from my iPhone 5S?

The msg I get is "can't edit" photo is not editable.
This happens in both the "photos" and the "albums" screens.

Deleting pictures in iPhone 5S

Go to your photos and find the picture you want to delete. Tap Select in the upper right corner and then tap on the picture you want to delete. It will get a check mark on it. At the bottom of the screen is Add To and on the right is a garbage can. Tap on the garbage can and it will delete your picture.

Check your photos if they're protected or something is corrupt. Try relaunching iPhoto or rebooting. If all else fails, you might wanna use a photo editor app.
