How do I delete Outlook Express mail offline?

Help!!!!! I tried to send a email with a large file attached (a comedy cd). Email timed out before completion. Now everytime I open Outlook Express it attempts to send email which bogs down system so bad that when I try to delete the troublesome email it won't respond. I need to find a way to get into outgoing mail to delete large mail without OE trying to send it right away. Thx.

Disconnect from Internet/Modem so that OE cannot find the mail server to start sending the mail. Then go to Outbox and delete the unsent message. The attachement you were trying to sent was way too large.
