Question

How do I delete avg security software files?

Sep 25, 2011 9:48PM PDT

We had avg free internet security software but decided to change to paid for mcafee security software. We uninstalled avg but when we search the c drive there still appear to be about 30 avg files on there. McAfee is saying it can't downlaod until we get rid of any avg files still on the c drive.

These are a mixture of avg exe, old, dll files and drivers files still on there. Is it safe to delete these files or do I need to do something else to get rid of them completely?

Many thanks

I'd start with deleting what you see and try if that's enough. If not, post again.

What is the exact and full message from McAfee? Somehow I think it isn't "I can't download until you get rid of any avg files still on the c drive". Please tell.
