Question

How do I create disk partitions on a 2TB GoFlex Home

Mar 18, 2012 2:50PM PDT

.. I've got a 2TB GoFlex Home external hard drive and would like to break it up into 3 partitions ... 1 at 1TB and 2 at 500GB ..

If anyone can offer a step by step solution to this I would certainly appreciate the help ...

Since, this is an ext. HD, I would leave it as 1 partition. The same problem as its one physical HD, you'll still crap out should it fail, since usually you're in some data saving mode. Partitions may come in handy, but the same rules apply for any partitioning. If you have the s/w then simply do as you wish. You can use the MS own disk management under the control panel then use on to administrative tools area. I suggest if you do this save whatever data is present and be sure what HD you're dealing with.
