hi,
I have searched around but i cannot find the answer. I am about to launch an online business directory, the problem is we need to come up with a base price of each item to start our pricing research etc.
items= i have job postings, deals, articles and listings. (and random pages, blog etc) How do i calculate how much each item really cost's me to host, store and view etc. Listings have up to 25 images , the rest of the items only have 1 image, ( lets say 1mb each) . Lets say for argument sake i have 500,000 views a month. How would i calculate how much it will cost me to host 1 of each of these items, and have it pulled from database to view it??? and then do i take into account the fact that they might pay say $500 a year, but their listings is viewed only 4 times, so i save in that respect. I understand a business directory is a high profit margin modal, but i need to be able to calculate a base cost encase i move to a dedicated server and not have to raise my price etc. I have shared hosting which is unlimited at the moment, but it would be smart to have this base price figured out for the future and growth.
can anyone help with calculating a base price for items such as job listings, deals, listings etc???
i appreciate you help
thank you
