Question

How do I buy Graphics Card?

Apr 17, 2016 1:04PM PDT

Hey so I posted this in the Desktop forum but then I saw this forum and I thought maybe I could get help here too.

Hey so I'm extremely dumb and don't really care. Like WOW I am incredibly stupid and can only handle the very simplest things and I also have a staggering amount of apathy for life in general.

I have to buy a graphics card because the one I have is damaged because, as a moron, I screw things up in ways that really shouldn't even be possible. The details aren't important.

HONESTLY, I really do not care. I care so little that I literally would just purchase another of the exact same card I have, but the card I have is so old that it seems they do not make it anymore and there do no seem to be any available on the secondary market, not matter how much I look. I pretty genuinely wish I could do this though. That would be so easy and fast an idiot-proof, and I really can't stress enough that I just don't care and want things to be easy and fast so I can go back to playing League of Legends and other terrible games that only idiots play. Seriously though I will pay... somewhat decent money if someone has an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT. Which is what my computer says I have. The graphics card says "xlr8" on it in really fancy writing. I'm not sure if that tells you anything specific about what I have or not, I hope it does.

Anyways, I really just need to buy a new graphics card but no matter how hard I try, I can't find an article that will explain how to do this for me in very very simple, step 1 step 2 step 3 terms that even an idiot such as myself could follow. A couple of websites said something about checking what kind of connector you have? I'm pretty sure what I have is called a "pci" but I'm incredibly simple and so i have no idea if that is right or not. I kind of wish this were easy and I could just cram any old thing into my computer and just get back to it.

Anyways, how do I buy a graphics card? What do I do? One smart individual said to take it to a computer store but I don't need everything done for me I know how to take a graphics card out and put a new one in, I just need to know what one do I buy?
