How do I burn a whole website to DVD to view on television?

Apr 25, 2005 10:25PM PDT

Using Offline Commander, I downloaded files from an instructional website (a very basic "how to" consisting of jpgs and *.htm files only). I can view these on my computer because I have a browser on my computer to view them but I would like to make a DVD (or CD) that can be viewed on a television. Does anyone know of software that will create such a thing?

Very low-tech solution

I can't think of any software that would accomplish this, but if they are mainly JPG "How-tos" then I would probably suggest viewing them in your browser, using F11 to make your browser go into full-screen mode, and then just using your "Print Screen" button to take screenshots of the instructions. Granted this may be a little time-consuming, and won't work on a couple hundred page how-to, but it's the only thing I am aware of that would work. After you use the "Print Screen" you can go into a image program (I've even used Microsoft Paint) and paste the image, then save it as a JPG file, and burn it onto the CD/DVD. Almost all DVD players will read JPGs now, and you just go through it like a slideshow. Good luck!

thanks so much.....that's a great idea. I might do just that if I can't find an easier way.
