How do I automatically synch my Ipod Touch (1st Gen) ??

Mar 7, 2010 12:11AM PST

Hello all,

I have this very simple question, how do I automatically sync my ipod touch automatically? You see I use to always do it manually due to my larger itunes library than my 8GB Ipod Touch capacity. But I am trying this app that seems to work only if I sync it with itunes (it helps keep track of play counts).
So on Itunes>Ipod Help> I read how to automatically sync my ipod Touch. I then went to took an hour of my time and UNCHECKED all the music I did not want to sync automatically. With the Ipod connected under Device, I clicked on it which brought me to the Summary Page>(selected)"Sync Only checked songs and videos">Music Tab>"Sync Music">"Selected Playlists".
I did not select any playlists because I only wanted the Checked music on my itunes library to be sync. After hitting Apply then Sync..It would say sync in Progress, and shortly after that I checked my Ipod touch, Opened up the Music icon, it said No Music !!

What am I doing wrong here? I thought automatically sync was suppose to be a walk in the park..but apparently I'm running into some problems with this very simple task. I can sync music if its on a playlist, however I want to sync the music that is part of my itunes library that is checked and not music on a playlist.

Running:
Windows XP SP2
Ipod Touch (1st Gen, OS 2.2.1, Jailbroken)
Apple iTunes 8.2.1.6
8GB Touch model

Your help is greatly appreciated !!

Thank You
