I've just spent some time building my website, and now that its ready to go, my flatscreen monitor has packed in. However, since I can't find another standard monitor to replace it with, I've had to settle for a 19" LG W1943SS widescreen. The problem is that I had all my webpages set to fit perfectly on my old monitor so that visitors to my site could see it as I created it, and now the new widescreen has clipped the edges off each side of the pages, meaning visitors will now have to scroll across to view full content?
Is there any way of resolving this, or does it mean I have to change the margins of my sites all over again? Unfortunately, I can't change the aspect ratio back to 4.3??
I've also tried to change the resolution, but there are only two settings on Windows XP home, 1024 by 768.
I've also contacted LG support, but they have ignored me. I always choose by the quality of customer support, and given that I have not had any from LG, I'm returning the monitor to replace it with another manufacturer.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
