Is your friend able to open the CD to view the pictures, using his computer ?
How did your friend transfer the pictures from the camera to the disc - i.e. what application was used, if any ? It could be that he used an application which you did not have installed in your computer, probably an application which came with the camera. If this is so, then you will have to install the same application. The usual method is to use a card reader to access the pictures, copy to HD, then burn to CDs as data files.
recently a friend lent me his digital camera whilst i was on holiday, took the pic's came home and he downloaded the pic's onto cd's however when i try to open the cd my system tells me that there is 19mb of data/pic's on the cd but it won't open the disc to show me the images. my system is xp home edition and my friends is xp pro(both systems are less than 6 months old)i have been in touch with the company whom i bought my pc from who thought it might be the dvd drive but i have since exchanged it for another and i am still having the same problem
