You're lacking details here as to how you got to this point.
If in fact you're talking about the "old windows files" that are saved when you did an upgrade or did a re-install and told it to be saved, then do the following:
1) enter the programs listing
2) select "accessories"
3) system tools
4) click on disk cleanup
5) check mark the "windows old"
That should delete and remove those files -OR- select the "more options" tab
