The world is simply not ready for them as yet. We still take 5 days to go across America by Amtrak for krist sake
It is almost the year 2015 and I often wonder to myself, how come we do not have jetpacks and flying cars in our future? In most science fiction that shows off the 21st century many of them show a futuristic world of flying cars, jetpacks, moon and undersea cities, robot butlers, virtual reality, holograms, Interplanetary Travel, food pills, and so on.
Yet the only thing that I have found to be impressive about our future is: Flat screen TVs, Todays video games, smartphones and tablets, Computers and the internet.
I would like to know why is it that our world isn't as futuristic as the people during the 1900s or 1950s made it out to be?
