How can Molly possibly dislike the iPOD?

by rsmith4321 / September 24, 2007 12:42 PM PDT

I really don't understand Molly's dislike of the iPOD. I'm no Apple fan at all, and I've owned a lot of players including a Toshiba Gigabeat S. The point I wanted to make is, anyone into podcasting should LOVE Apple, if it wasn't for them there wouldn't be such a thing as mainstream podcasting. Yes, I know Apple didn't start podcast, I know there are alternatives, I've tried to use Juice, and I too hate Apple's limits on there devices. But the iPOD is the only device I've used that makes audio and video podcast easily available in a useful way. It's the only device that shows which ones you've listened to, as well as starts where you left off for audio and video. Plus there is nothing like the Itunes podcast directory. Microsoft has made it clear they could care less about podcasting. Until a device and software supports podcast fully like the Ipod and Itunes, any podcaster should love Apple, they are the only reason most people listen to and watch podcast period. How can Molly hate what gives her a job. I would love to buy something besides an Ipod, but I love podcast, I have no alternative!

We should LOVE it but we will regret it in the morning

>How can Molly possibly dislike the iPOD?

This tone reminds me that a few years ago I taped my pre-teen nieces asking me "How can you possibly dislike Briteny Spears?". Very, very similar. Im gonna dig it up to bug them later.

>point I wanted to make is, anyone into podcasting should LOVE Apple,

And you made your point very well. We should. Im now convinced.
You're all gonna make sloppy, drunken passionate LOVE to your iPods, then wake up and feel really dirty in the morning. Then it will be ackward whenever you plug it in until finally you have to move...to a Squircle.

>if it wasn't for them there wouldn't be such a thing as mainstream >podcasting.

Yes, this line deserves a spot all of its own so we can glow in its sheer brilliance. That's it, let it sink in. Somewhere Adam Curry's ego is busy rewriting its Wiki entry.

I dont know what people do with 4-5 players in one household but I just spent 5 months on the road and listened to every BOL and another 5-6 podcasts religiously and I didnt even have a laptop with me.
I didnt even have to sacrifice a goat to be able to listen to the podcasts.
