Clarification Request
Hi Bart,

Welcome to the CNET forums, thank you for joining us!

To answer your question, CNET doesn't have a guest contributor column for CNET News. We do have paid freelance writers that produce content for us, but mostly our articles and content are written by our staff.

Here are a few of our freelance writers CNET profiles:
https://www.cnet.com/profiles/akooser/
https://www.cnet.com/profiles/ericcmack/
https://www.cnet.com/profiles/alinabradford/

If you want to write about a topic you are welcome to post it here in the forums. I just thought of this that maybe of interest to you. If you wanted to host a question on our site, we have the CNET members ask and depending on the question topic you submit, we may feature it. Have a look: https://www.cnet.com/news/cnet-member-asks-submit-your-questions-for-a-chance-to-be-featured-on-our-site/

Here are some past submissions:

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just a quick google finds you are very active.

You are already doing work on your Yelp, Facebook, Billboards and more so here you could or one of your workers help others. Now there is that rather upsetting issue with big screen TVs that may or may not be cracking on their own that could use some help but you can't SPAM the forums.

I see you enabled your Facebook and Twitter in your CNET Profile so that's good to see. If you want you can enable email as well.

Welcome to the CNET Forums but please avoid spamming and self promotion.

PS. You might want to change your CNET name.

Some may take a view about that. Along with the laywer in the name. Typo?

It is apart of my brand name.

Not a typo, just a part of my brand, and company name.

Apologies

I have not submitted a link to anything other than my social media profiles, also, this specific thread is the 'speakeasy', as I read can be questions submitted unrelated to CNETs scope of tech related content.

I am, however, asking about being featured on CNET, in the fashion of internet and/or news related content.

Take a look at my profile, I ask for recommendations on the latest tech advice for a legal professional. Do I not have the right to participate in this forum?

There are forum policies.

Which you can check out.

My background includes owning a PC sales and repair shop long ago. Think about the PC in the years where the 8088 to the 80386 ruled. We supplied and supported a lot of PCs for lawyers back then. Most of them were making the transition from typewriters and daisywheel printers to WordPerfect which had a template for pleadings and the courts finally relented and started to accept laser printed copy.

As to advice for legal folk today I don't have any specific advice but to avoid smart phones with the MediaTek chips due to the Adups issue. It appears this is still an issue so you can avoid some of that with this one advice.

Welcome to the forums and I'll alert your question to our forum leaders.
