if your new TV has a connection for an antenna , then you have everything you need for the reception of your local channels in HD for FREE!
Depending on you location, you may even be able to get away with an indoor antenna.
Remember there is no such thing as an HD antenna, it is just an ordinary antenna that is capable of receiving UHF signals efficiently.
This is a good place to start looking for an antenna.

Since my new TV has WIFI capability, and there is equipment out there like Roku, I was hoping someone out there can tell me how to best assemble an equipment set-up at my home, where I can unsubscribe from my current costly Cable TV Subscription and replace it with the Internet only.......without having to make too many sacrifices. For instance, it would be nice to still be able to access the local stations, have DVR capability, etc.
