how to uninstall securesearch2.lavasoft.com

I have tried both MalwareBytes and Revo Uninstaller, unfortunately neither programme found the toolbar and it does not show in any installed programmes. I have deleted all programmes installed since I first noticed it and to no avail.. It has taken over Google Chrome completely. Fortunately it has not affected Firefox
Thanks.. oldsalt5867

well securesearch2.lavasoft.com seems to have disappeared following all the instructions but unfortunately at the last moment 'search.conduit.com' seems to have taken its place.. I give up for the day and off to bed
thanks anyway

Lot's of folks having troubles with Conduit. Grif's instructions should also apply to it though.
Moderator R. Proffitt has another link for instructions floating around somewhere but I can't find them.

Rinse, repeat.

Grif's advice should be working but conduit needs more care as it can leave the home page set to conduit. You'll have to set/clear that yourself.

But rinse and repeat.

Thanks to all, Grif's advice was spot on for 'securesearch2' and is appreciated, but its 8AM here and a busy day ahead but not on the computer, will have another shot at the problem tonight.
