This is very easy on the iPhone all you really need it your email and password. Go to Settings > Mail > Google. Then put in your name, email address and password. It also asks for a description this is what you want the account to be called on your iPhone. So pick anything . Hope this helps.

You can simplify it by downloading Gmail App

All you have to do is download Gmail app from App Store on your iPhone. This is easiest way to access your Gmail accounts. Default mail app sucks

use it all the time.

Just add a new account, select Google, enter the required information and you are good to go
