If it is a link you can just click on it, then when it says would you like to Open File or Save File, you want to click on save. If it is via FTP you can just drag the file to your desktop. If you have a link to the location of the file I can run you through it step by step.

After accessing such, look in your Temporary Internet Files folder for the file m_yellow.swf and double click -- ignore the warning. Since the file is on your system, is that what you want? If so, move or copy it from that folder because it's likely to depart at any time. If your TIF is inundated with files already, click Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files in the Temporary Internet files section before accessing that site.

It depends what you mean by a flash 'program'. Flash is a program by Macromedia (macromedia.com). The actual flash program is the application web developers use to create flash movies with. It saves files with the extension .FLA that can be changed or modified later. When a Flash user is ready to put their movie on the web (or other use), they export the movie in a flattened compressed format with the extension .SWF (ShockWave Flash).

If you are referring to the authoring application it costs a few hundred dollars and a 30 day free trial can be downloaded from MacroMedia's website. ( http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash )

If you are reffering to an original .FLA file you should be able to right-click the link to it and download 'target' or some thing like that.

If (most likely by the sound of it) you are reffering to the .SWF file that is playing as a movie on a web page, you cannot right click to get it, you'll just see (in some cases) play options for the movie. After the file is fully loaded it will reside in your browser cache. If you know how to find your cache, open that folder and copy the file to whereever you want to keep the local copy. To make it easier to find I'd suggest emptying your cache, then go to the page with the movie and have it load again. This way you'll have less in your cache to sort through. If you don't know how to open your cache, tell us which browser you're using and you'll get specific information on how to do it.

A note on playing a local .SWF file: Once you have it most likely the only way you'll be able to play it is in a browser window. Unless you have the flash application installed your system won't know what to use to open a .SWF file by itself when you double click on it. In a browser window though, the SWF file will stretch to fit the window, so it may look distorted from what it originally looked like. Just resize your window until it looks correct. If you download the trail copy of flash the movie will play in a standalone player when double clicked. This player will continue to function even after the authoring program's trial expires. HTH.

Thanks for All the help.

I posted a link for what I'm trying to save.

http://www.casiojv.com/gbrand.htm#

Men In Yellow Part

I believe it is in the cache as after it is downloaded it opens fast the next time I go back to that site.

How do I find it and where is the cache located?

Thanks..

Here is how to download it:

I used the link you sent to find the path to the actual flash file.

Right click the link below to save the .swf file to your computer:

http://www.casiojv.com//gshock/m_yellow/m_yellow.swf

Note: the things I posted above about needing to open in your browser or the stand alone flash player still apply. Also occasionally flash movies call other flash movies from withing their own actionscript. In those cases even though you download this file, the movie may be incomplete as it is viewable online at the original site. Good Luck
