Question

How can I remove salesprize? It blocks access to all sites

by elliehowe / May 18, 2015 10:13 AM PDT

Hello,

It even blocked my access to this site. I am using a friend's laptop. I use Windows 7 and used Mozilla Firefox to download Open Office but I think I downloaded it from a fake site. I can open my emails but when I try to enter any other web address, either my PC freezes or I get a popup saying my computer has a virus or security breach and to call an 800 number to learn how to remove it. I ran malaware bytes but it didn't remove this malware. Can you tell me how to remove it or should I buy a premium version of some anti-virus or anti-malware software through CNET's site (where I will go if I decide to download Open Office ever again). Thank you all once again for your willingness to share your wisdom!

Hello,

You and Grif answered this quest for help in May... A few days later I ended up in the hospital, then in and out of the hospital for several weeks, so I did not get to try the "fix" until recently. Grif, yours worked great, and I've marked that site as one to try when I run into other issues.

Thank you both for your help. CNET forum members rock!
