How can I prove my Iphone was hacked !

by BruceGib / December 1, 2015 9:59 AM PST

My Iphone and Computors at home and the office have been hacked.

The person that has hacked my account and Iphone is mimicking me, My wife wanted to check my phone so i let her with no hesitation as i had nothing to hide.

We will call my wife J , J found the app messenger on my IPhone and there was some one logged in to it . this person who was mimicking me was talking to women in a provocative way , My wife thought this was me ! I

I told her that it was not me, ( And will assure everybody that reads this I am definitely not Lying ) i Told my Wife I did not down load the app and i showed her that i didn't as my face book account still had 3 message notification that had not been read, I clicked on the message saying would you like to download the messenger app , in which i tried to explain to her that why is it saying that as the app is already on my IPhone. This week has been a night mare , the computers at the office had an email virus sending 10 thousand emails out a day. The hosting company that i deal with shut my ip address down untill we could fix the Virus problem.

My wife said that there was an email with all my passwwords on it , very strange.......

Anyway my wife is leaving me as she thinks i have been playing around , how can i porove to her that it isnt me ? it is the person that has hacked me.

Please anybody help me !!!!!! we have been happily married for 25 years I dont want to be NOT with my wife.

For this one since the office has been hacked.

Get your IT lead to look into this as well. Newer exploits can now cross devices and OSes.

In this case I think you are going to want someone like your CIO to talk. As you didn't succeed in convincing her that "Looks like my phone was hacked."

what is a CIO ?

On google type DEFINE CIO
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / December 1, 2015 11:04 AM PST

"Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Information Technology (IT) Director, is a job title commonly given to the most senior executive in an enterprise responsible for the information technology and computer systems that support enterprise goals." from said search.

Since your company got hacked, your IT staffer or CIO needs to know your phone looks to be hacked too. WHY? So they know where all the infections and exploits are.

Sorry Mate , its our business we don't have chief information officers, we only employ 3 people, and yes it is probably my fault this has happened, we don't change our passwords frequent enough , and i try to keep all the computers running, i purchase programs like CCleaner , AVG, how ever the girls don't scan the computers on a daily basis . yep my fault , what a real **** head i am . I have single handily wrecked my life and my wifes ....... i am so down....

That I did not know.

But given all the exploits and bad folk out there if someone tells me they've been hacked I believe 9999 out of 10,000 people. There are a few tin foil hat wearing folk so there's always one out there. But I believe you.

I scan too but haven't found a thing in 2 years. Maybe because I don't open all emails, set emails to strip images and more. Most of the infections today require action or help from us to complete the infection. Or downloads from download sites.

I wish there was some certificate that I could stamp and sign "Your iPhone was hacked." But all the above tell me it's a matter of trust. I've scanned my wife's PC from time to time and find unsavory items but given I'm a bit in the know about exploits I know it's not her that did it.

Wish I could point you to some company that will issue a cert or plaque but for now all you can do is find folk that agree with you.

To me the company virus would be more than enough. That is.

"The entire company got hacked. Looks like they got my phone too."

Well if you've been married for 25 years

and she doesn't believe you you have a trust issue. But first of all contact Apple and find out about your account. If you account has a credit card attached your may have more problems then your wife leaving you. I would think motivation for someone to use your account would be for financial gain. How was the person talking to women? Was it a dating site? Was it a messenger app? Contact the app customer service also and find out about the account creation.
